πΊπΈ The richest 1% of U.S. households are now sitting on about $60 trillion... That's roughly 32.5% of all household wealth in the country. The entire bottom half of Americans? About $4.3 trillion combined. Go even higher and it gets crazier. The richest 0.1% alone have nearly $28 trillion, more than 6 times what the bottom 50% have. A big reason the gap can grow this fast is where that wealth sits. The top 0.1% own more than $16 trillion in stocks and mutual funds. The bottom half own less than $400 billion. And stocks have been climbing. U.S. household wealth just jumped another $12.8 trillion in a single quarter, with rising stocks doing most of the heavy lifting. Strip away all the giant numbers and that's really it: a tiny slice of the country owns a massive share of its household wealth. Source: Federal Reserve, Trading View / Writer: Daniyal
