🇸🇪🇸🇴 Sweden elected 5 Somali-origin MPs to its parliament, and police are now investigating election fraud tied to the campaigns of 2 of them Left Party candidate Mohamed Abdukardir Ali leapt from 9th place on the list straight into parliament with just 648 personal votes, after less than a year in the party. Swedish media report police surveillance picked up pre-marked ballots, voters being driven to polling stations and cash withdrawals. In Stockholm, police opened a separate probe into vote-buying linked partly to the campaign of fellow Left Party MP Ilyas Hassan, who reportedly also campaigned for Ali. Ali denies everything but won't be taking his seat when the new parliament opens, and calls for a re-run of the vote are getting louder.
