🚨🇺🇸 The Air Force just took delivery of its first two COMBAT DRONES designed to fly alongside fighter jets Anduril's Fury arrived at Creech Air Force Base in Nevada last month and General Atomics' Vengeance landed last week, both going to an experimental unit that will figure out how airmen actually fight with them. Air Force Secretary Troy Meink framed the point of moving this fast: "Putting CCA in the hands of Airmen is how we build the operational future of this program." The testing at Creech is built around small teams launching these things from rough, scattered airstrips instead of big permanent bases. That design choice comes straight out of the last seven months, because Iranian missiles wrecked fixed bases across the Gulf and a senior officer told ABC the damage would take decades to repair. Nobody wants to park the next generation of airpower somewhere a $20,000 drone can reach it, so the Air Force is learning to fight from places the enemy can't find on a map.
